Welcome

About Hannah

Hannah is a wife, mum, SENCO and dyslexia specialist working full-time in a 2-18 school in Worcestershire. Frustrated by the barriers in education, which so many face, she set about investigating the national picture of SEN co-ordination in 2018, through the National SENCO Workload Survey, published by Bath Spa University. She also founded the charity Generation CAN, with Lorraine Petersen OBE, which seeks to celebrate inspirational children and young people with special needs; bringing together education, health and social care professionals in a joyful, annual celebration of remarkable people.

Hannah has a contagious enthusiasm for believing in 'the limitless possibility of CAN'. Inspired by so many global leaders who have brought about great change, she is confident that we can all make a difference if we believe and then take action. She hopes you'll join her in the mission to improve education within your own sphere of influence: graciously challenging long-held misperceptions by championing current research; and looking beyond the narrowness of current measures, to celebrate a deeper and more holistic approach to valuing each child within our care.
